Hankou University cooperates with distinguished German industrial policy maker

    Continuing the successful internationalisation drive initiated by Hankou University`s Chairman of the Board Dr Luo Aiping, th International Innovation Center of the University directed by Vice President Academician Prof. Peter Sachsenmeier agreed on cooperation with German distinguished policy maker, Ambassador and State Councillor Volker Schlegel.

    With a background in law, Volker Schlegel is a former state Minister of Hamburg and a career diplomat. He served as Germany`s Ambassador to Singapore, Iran, and as Germany`s Economic Representative to Washington, and as a key member at the German Foreign Office. Unusually, he also has solid industrial experience, as CEO of a global steel production company and as the senior advisor to BMW-related SGL, one of the foremost advanced carbon and new materials companies in the world.  Apart form his knowledge, he brings with him a wealth of industrial contacts.
